Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the human skin. As the skin ages the hyaluronic acid becomes degraded, resulting in the formation of lesions such as wrinkles, folds, or distortions of the contours of the face. Addition of more hyaluronic acid can reduce deficiencies and is a safe, low invasive method of eliminating wrinkles and restoring a youthful skin appearance. Used lightly it is also used to moisturize the skin and for the elimination of acne scars.

Treatment with hyaluronic acid is very effective and provides immediate results to reduce wrinkles and additionally strongly moisturizes the skin in the treated areas.

The use of hyaluronic acid does not require a prior allergy test. The formulation is in the form of a colorless, plastic-like gel. It is generally applied using a thin needle, and the total time of the procedure usually lasts no more than 30 minutes.

The average time over which the effects of the fillers last is from 9 to 12 months. Sometimes, this period may be longer or shorter, depending on age, your skin type, lifestyle (smoking and exposure of skin to the sun and UV rays may shorten the duration of action), manufacturer and injection site.

At our clinic we use preparations of the Juvaderm line whose innovative action is to provide a long-lasting and natural effect.
